p.82/exercise 2

Weather:

• A storm is starting, it is raining and the wind is very strong.
• It is a dark and terrible night.
• The wind and the sea are loud. The wind is screaming and shaking the glass in the window by Grace's room.
• The sea is grey and very angry. There are white horses on the huge waves. the sea is crashing on the rocks.

Grace:

• Grace's home is in the Longstone Lighthouse on one of the islands.
• Her father is the lighthose keeper.
• Grace looks through her father's telescope because she sees something. There is a wreck on Big Harcar Rock. And there are nine men. Grace grabs some clothes and a minute later she and her father William are already in the lighthouse boat. Grace shouts: "Come on! Those people need us, we mustn't give up."
• Grace sees how frightened the men are because it is so dangerous on the rock. She says: "I want to wait with them, you needn't worry." And she jumps from the lighthouse boat to the rock.
• Grace stays on the rock with the others. The men think this is the end. But Grace stays strong. She tells them: "Don't worry my father is coming!
