WRITING

Dear Jenny, Mark and David,

Greetings from Seahouses. It's wonderful here because the weather is great. It's warm and sunny because there are no clouds in the sky.

We go to the beach and there you can watch birds and seals. That's really cool.

Then we visit Bamburgh Castle and look at the statues and pictures in the museum.

How are you? What are you doing?

See you soon, Sarah

Verbinde Sätze miteinander (so, but, and, then, after that, because)!

Bleibe bei einem Thema bevor du zu nächsten übergehst.

Wenn eine Ortsangabe am Anfang steht, dann muss "there" kommen, wenn man sagen möchte "es gibt": On the beach there is a bird

DIALOGUES

Partner A: You are on vacation in Seahouses. You meet a British teenager and she/he introduces herself/himself, answers your questions about the Seahouses and ask questions about Germany.

Partner B: You are a British teenager from Seahouses and you meet a girl/boy from Germany. You start talking about the yourselves, the UK and Germany.

TEXT PRODUCTION

Example:

It's Friday and the children are in their classroom. There are posters on the blue wall but the teacher isn't there. There are six children: three boys and three girls. One boy, Patrick, is looking at the window and he is seeing a funny snowman. Patrick: "Wow, there is a snowman. Let's go outside and play with him." Jenny: "We must do our Maths homework, Patrick because our teacher is here now." The kids are not happy but they can go and play with the snowman after (nach) school.
