a)

  1. A bully is a person who likes it if people are scared of him or her.
  2. A show-off is someone who always tells others how good he or she is at things.
  3. A competitor takes part in competitions. In a tennis competition the competitor who wins all of matches is the best and is the winner of the competition.
  4. A waiter is someone who works at a restaurant.
  5. When an accident has happend there is often a traffic jam and the cars on the road can´t move anymore.
  6. If it´s raining and the sun is shining at the same time, you can often see a rainbow.
  7. All animals that don´t live in zoos, people´s homes or on farms belong to the wildlife.
  8. You shoot at a target, e.g. in an archery competion.

b)

  1. A card is a postcard or a birthdaycard and a ticket is a trainticket or a ticket for a concert or a museum.
  2. If you talk about the North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean, you say "sea", if you say "lake", you mean the "Bodensee" or the "Chiemsee".
  3. A bag is something in which you carry things and which you use for shopping. Many trousers and jackets have pockets.
  4. You wear clothes, e.g. a jacket, but you carry something with/in your hands, e.g. a bag or a box.
  5. Marmalade is made of oranges and jam is made of other kinds of fruit.
  6. You get up out of bed in the morning and you stand up when you are sitting on a chair or on the floor.
  7. When you sleep and you want to have it warm you put a blanket over your body. Then, when you are lying in bed, you can look up at the ceiling in your room.
