Grundlagen

Das Wort Prozent kommt von der italienischen Bezeichnung „per cento“, was so viel heißt wie „von Hundert“.
Eine andere Bezeichnung für Prozent ist „Hundertstel“

→ 1 Prozent = 1% =

$\frac{18}{50}$ = $\frac{9}{25}$ = $\frac{36}{100}$ = 36%

$\frac{5}{49}$ = 5 : 49 = 0,10204... $\approx$ 10,2%
