This black and withe cartoon by Andy Singer is from MYGEO and has the title "A CONSUMER (THE BIGGER VIEW)". In the picture a big man is sitting on the earth and is eating it. The earth is as big as the man and it is already missing a part of the world. The man wears a suit and eats with knife and fork parts of the earth, while he has his eyes closed and looks very sad.

The big man symbolizes all people on earth. The drawer wants to show that people destroy their own home, the world. Air polution and exploitation for example lead to great damages which can´t be repaired any more. With this cartoon the painter wants to critizice that people don´t care about environment and just try to get more from nature for instance natural resources. This picture should lead people to more protection of the environment.

''“To fulfill a dream, to be allowed to sweat over lonely labor, to be given the chance to create, is the meat and potatoes of life. The money is the gravy. As everyone else, I love to dunk my crust in it. But alone, it is not a diet designed to keep body and soul together.”''                                                                                    '''Bette Davis'''

|how is "customers'" attention attracted?
This quotation by Bette Davis wants to emphasize that money is important but you also need dreams for a fulfilling life. To be happy one needs balance between the pursuit of financial security and mental satisfaction by dreams coming true. But why are dreams so essential in our lives?

Firstly, dreams make every single life extraordinary, because everyone has different dreams. Thus, all people have various expectations and desires they want to achieve in their lives. Your dreams define your lifestyle, e.g. one wants to be a doctor, the other a teacher and the last one a hairdresser. The essential decisions we mostly make because of our dreams.

Secondly, dreaming helps to handle hard work and gives motivation to go on. Everyone has to do things in his life, which he really doesn´t like or even hates to do. With dreams you can think of something you love and then easily manage to come through annoying and hard labor. When a boy sits in school and really doesn´t understand what his maths teacher is talking about, he dreams of playing football in the afternoon. Then he can motivate himself, that if he does maths now he can play football when he comes home.

Furthermore, dreams lead to deeds, because by dreaming we can imagine what aims and desires can be achieved. Dreams can picture which life we want to live and which one we should better avoid. Moreover, our dreams give us a reason, why we should live and labour. Without dreams we wouldn´t  have aims we try to achieve and life would be boring and joyless. A man, who hasn´t got the dream of having a family or of being wealthy, wouldn´t understand why he should work.
