While I'm away, please prepare (read and understand, look up words) the following text and answer the questions on the text until Monday, September 28 (written and in full sentences!):
Text - "True believers in the American dream wake up to a nightmare"
- What was the original purpose of the “poem”?
- What is the “nightmare“ O`Toole refers to?
- Explain in detail why “The dream, to an increasing extent, has fueled the nightmare” (l. 35)!

Introduction: example for boring holidays/doesn't exist as often as for 10 years/ the high-risk holidays are booming/ how can this trend be explained?
Arguments:
- people need adventure because their life is too montonous/every day the same boring life/ e.g. people sitting in an office
- more information about such high-risk activities by the media/ because people see this they want to do this/ e.g. you can see free climbers on TV
Conclusion: the booming can be exlained by the montonous life of many people or the information the media gives us/ the whole community is more prepared to take a risk
