Übungsaufgabe 1


Put the story (look at the verbs and esp. the modal auxiliaries) into the past tense!

I come home from school. But then I can't believe it. There is water everywhere.
I think I must call the police or the fire brigade. Mum says I mustn't call the police for fun. But now I may call them.
Before I can take out the phone dad comes. He says he can't repair the washing machine because he must buy some parts first.
I ask if I can use his tablet, but he says he can repair it, if he hs some time. He believes he needn't get help from the internet.

Deutsch: Auf wen wartest du? <= Präpostion am Satzanfang, nicht beim Verb!
