You spent the weekend at the seaside in the north of England. When you come home you tell your friend about the holiday and the interesting things that happened there. You want to know about your friend’s weekend, too.


  • PARTNER B

Your friend spent the weekend at the seaside and you want to know about it because your parents and you plan to spend the next holidays at the seaside, too. You visited your grandparents in London last weekend and you went to a Cutty Sark exhibition (=Ausstellung).




  • PARTNER A

It‘s the summer holidays and you and your family are on holidays in New York City. You meet a girl/boy there and you talk about yourself, your home and you want to know what the boy/girl did on 4th of July. (Du hast in der Schule etwas darüber gelernt und hast Fragen)


  • PARTNER B

It‘s summer and you are at home in New York City. Downtown you meet a boy/girl from Germany. You talk about yourself and your family (your grandparents live in Germany) and you have a lot of questions about Germany.

  • PARTNER A:

You are at a birthday party and meet a girl/boy from Greenwich. You introduce yourself (e.g. birthday, family). You want to know more about Greenwich.


  • PARTNER B:

You are at a birthday partner and you meet girl/boy from Germany. You introduce yourself (e.g. birthday, family). You want to know more about Germany.


Dialogue 2:


  • PARTNER A

You are on vacation in Greenwich and you are in a restaurant. You talk to the waiter (=Bedienung) about the food, Greenwich and Germany. At last you order breakfast.


  • PARTNER B

Yo are a waiter/waitress (=Bedienung) at a restaurant in Greenwich and you have a customer from Germany. You take the order and you talk to him/her because you are very interested in Germany (you want to go to school there for a year).
