1. The author considers the bombings of Bali and Kenya as one of the most distressing developments of the year because it hit some poor countries which take the biggest part of their income from the tourism and can't afford it to get lost. In countries like those tourism is the best and sometimes only way out of poverty. The author for example thinks of the employment in the region of Bali sinking by more than 20%. And because of especially Bali being an outrider for the region the attacks might influence not only the directly hit countries but also their surrounding ones.

Furthermore the money spend by backpackers is more likely to stay in the region they are travelling to and not going to foeign tourism companies. In the advert "buckle up" by "Deutsche Verkehrswacht" especially car drivers but in general everyone using cars shall be reminded of using seat belts. In the advert the photos of four people are shown. Three of this photos are marked with black ribbons, which symbolize for the death of the people shown in the photos. In the fourth picture there also is a black ribbon, but it lies around the man's breast. Instead of death this ribbon sybolizes a seat belt. So a contrast is created between death and the usage of  seat belts, which clearly shows that seatbelts are saving lives. The advantages of this advert are that it applies to nearly everyone and that it reminds the viewers of how fast car accidents can happen. Furthermore the viewer is happy when he has underrstood the message of the advert, which is not easy to understand on the first view. All in all this is an really nice advert about a serious topic.
